Between 2019 and 2020, supported by a team of individuals who have chosen to remain anonymous, I carried out an investigation into 32 pig farms, located in Castilla y Leon, Aragon, and Castilla-La-Mancha.
storyBetween November 2016 and October 2018, I gained access into 16 slaughterhouses in the Spanish State. Inside them, I was able to document the slaughter of cows, pigs, lambs, chickens, and rabbits.
storyWith images obtained during an investigation carried out in fifty eight slaughterhouses in Mexico between 2015 and 2017, «Slaughterhouse» is a documentary that takes us into the hermetic world of the meat industry.
The footage shows the systematic exploitation and violence suffered by animals in slaughterhouses and that is deliberately kept hidden by the meat industry.
DOCUMENTARYOver the course of a number of months, between the years 2015 and 20171 I gained access to 58 slaughterhouses, located ten different Mexican states. During this time, I documented the killing of cows, goats, chickens and horses, as well as the transport of these animals, from farm to slaughterhouse.
storyIn November 2016, I travelled to England encouraged by the interest in understanding the origin and evolution of the movement and trying to vindicate its memory. There, I went with the Bristol Hunt Sabs to one of their sabotages.
storyEvery year, on July the 7th, one of the most important bullfighting events all around the world takes place in Iruña (Pamplona). The tension between animal defenders on the one hand, and those who defend the totally unjust killing of tens of bulls and the abuse of other animals based on old customs on the other hand, grows bigger everytime.
storyIn a rural town located in the state of Tlaxcala and when the day arrived, some of the members of a family have arranged to meet in order to carry out one of the killings that take place everyweek in the backyard of their house. Divided in three sheds with no light and of scant hygiene, about 30 pigs are breeded and exploited with commercial purposes.
storyAt Wings of Heart Sanctuary, Edu and Laura, with the support of a group of regular contributors, give shelter to more than three hundred animals that are victims of the livestock industry. Each of them has suffered the harsh regime of livestock farming and drag a history of abuse, neglect and brutality. Here they are released, protected and given back to the life that was stolen from them.
storyIn early March, the river Ebro flows recorded an increase which caused serious inundations in many areas of its riberbank. The rise inundated more than 20.000 hectares in Aragon, including multitude of stockbreeding farms.
storyIn order to supply for the needs of the «Mole de Caderas Ethnic Festival» six thousand goats are sent to the slaughterhouse, which is open to journalists and photographe who are invited to witness and document the way the killing takes place. This photo series does not aim at showing the folkloric features of this killing, but to take advantage of this event to expose the situation suffered by animals in slaughterhouses.
